About me
I am a humanist at heart. My goal as a therapist is to help you facilitate your personal growth so that you can live your best life. I was a high school science teacher for 14 years before earning my masters degree in Mental health at Florida Gulf coast university. Many of the teaching skills I acquired teaching have helped me develop the therapy style I use in my practice and become the therapist I am today. CBT and reality therapy are the most prevalent theories I employ.I want my clients to know and feel that they are the one in control of their personal growth therapy experience. I strive to provide a safe space for my clients.
I strongly believe in the healing powers of having a pet. Just the presence of another living soul that snuggles with you, can ease anxiety and decrease depression symptoms. They truly are a humans best friend. I feel so strongly about pets as healers that I also write emotional support letters and Service dog letters for my clients who qualify. Therapy can be challenging, but it can also be a rewarding journey to the realizing the best version of you.

Individual Therapy sessions
My practice offers Adult Individual sessions to help you learn to cope better with your Mental health challenges. We can meet in person at my office,or on my HIPPA secure Tele-mental health platform.

Emotional Support Animal letter
I am happy to provide an ESA letter to my qualifying clients as needed.
Emotional support animals can live with you and provide love and support. If you are renting, this letter offers protection so the landlord can not discriminate about the breed of dog you have. Also there is no pet rent or pet deposit required of ESA’s on a lease. Let me know if you believe this is needed for your mental health.
Psychiatric Service Animal letter (PSA)
When your needs extend beyond utilizing your dog for emotional support but instead you find that you need them to assist you with a trained task, a Psychiatric Service Animal (PSA) may be a more appropriate need.
I will help determine the right therapeutic fit for you and your situation, and help you understand the differences between these two types of support animals and the different rights you have with each.
I’ll do a thorough assessment, in order to make sure that a Psychiatric Service Animal will be therapeutically beneficial for you and help support you on your journey towards healing.
I have years of experience in this area which in addition to the thorough assessment, should provide you with extra reassurance that your need is legitimate and warranted should it ever be questioned.
